About Wilder Child YYC

I founded Wilder Child YYC with one goal in mind: to provide opportunities for children to experience and engage in nature through hiking and explorative play. I am a mother of two and have spent the last six years scouting and testing out the best nature spaces for children in Calgary. My children and I spend most of our time together in nature, whether it be hiking, gardening, or simply observing what is around us and making up stories about fairy folk and gnomes. I have a background in youth-led community development and philanthropy. In a nutshell, one of my favourite things is to watch children gain confidence and move freely in natural spaces.
